The Baby is now married and her bedroom has been reassigned.
Can you hear our hearts go pitter-patter?
There are mixed emotions as we redo this bedroom.
It's going to be the new craft/sewing room.
There's lots of treasure hunting going on for this room.
Don't judge....our girly girl loved this paint color and we believe in picking battles :)
And yes, it's even more shocking in real life than in the photo.
Been busy starting craft room projects before the rain comes.
The son of a dentist - a beautiful smile and a beautiful heart.
Just a teaser of what's to come on our new-to-us previously loved craft table.
We can take off our sunglasses once Steamed Milk covers up the pink walls.
Not that we haven't thought about The Baby and her decorating needs.
We picked up this coffee bag for 69 cents and stretched it over a canvas.
The newlyweds will hang it in their little apartment kitchen.
Total cost with canvas - about $4.00
So you can see we've been in total decorating mode here at Always Nesting.
Stay tuned for more posts as the craft/sewing room unfolds.
Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

I'm sure you do have mixed emotions! But how exciting to have a room dedicated to crafts! :)

Marla I can't wait to see all your projects!
ReplyDeleteMarla, thanks for your sweet comments on my "Homecoming" post. I had to laugh when I saw this room! My husband just said that Kierra's purple room has got to go! LOL! I can't wait to see how this room turns out. I hope you'll follow me too. Be blessed!!!
ReplyDeleteI love pink, but.... WOW! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with the room Marla. I wish I could get a craft room sorted out for me. We have the spare room but it's still full of 'stuff'!!
We still tease our adult daughter about her lipstick pink room, complete with gold, yes, gold satin comforter, and purple satin drapes. There were always piles of clothes on the floor, to give it that charming lived in look.
ReplyDeleteHer current home is all done in neutrals, and it is neat. They sure change when they grow up.
Great name, Steamed Milk. Sounds very delightful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the PS....trying not to worry.
Oh have fun..and how cute for the kitchen, I am sure she is enjoying it
ReplyDeleteI am doing a craft room also...can't decide on what to do...enjoy it and I look forward to seeing what all you do...your ideas are always great
Enjoy the empty nest!
I can't wait to see what you are doing with this PINK room...I just know it will be awesome! ;D
ReplyDeletewow...pepto bismol alert!! We had a bathroom that colour for awhile..gah. Can't wait to see what you do in the new crafty room. That's exactly what we did when our oldest moved out...whoot!
ReplyDeleteI can't judge. I do believe that shade is twin, or at least a sibling, to the one that my younger daughter chose. And then, she chose a dark red...
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting to see. I love, love, love transformations!
My daughter and I deposited my son at college. On the way home we stopped at the paint store. My son had to return home for something and in just a few hours of being away he found his room already transformed by the removal of his posters and painting was progressing very well. He is almost 41 and has never lets either of us forget how horrible we were.
ReplyDeleteAs we also approach the empty nest (3 gone, one to go! lol) I love this post.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention that I'm so happy you're back to blogging? I bought the flower paper punch after being inspired by your gift tag post and will be posting about yours and what I came up with soon!
Have a blessed day...
Marla & Steve -- oldest daughter had a room that we refered to as Pepto Pink, lol!! She picked it and loved every minute of it -- totally worth having a Pepto Pink room in my house! Younger daughter plans to move out soon -- I am torn between sadness that my last chick is fledging and elation that I will FINALLY get a sewing room! What's a Mom to do :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Gail
Marla, the empty nest will be full again, as your daughter and her husband return for visits. You have a great project room now and You will love it. I know the days will be full as you move into your "craft room". Enjoy your new space.
