Time-Out

We are taking a brief time-out from Always Nesting.

No worries.

We will be back just as soon as life isn't so crazy busy.

In an effort to keep the Spammers at bay,

comments are temporarily turned off until we return.

We will continue to update our status on Facebook.

Thanks for understanding.

Baby Boy Shower

Our baby is having a baby!
How is that possible?
Seems like just yesterday she loved sucking her thumb and Barney.

The sisters flew in from California to host the shower and lead games.
Put our three girls together and there's never a dull or quiet moment.

The entry was very dreary so we added a few welcoming flowers.
Wanting turquoise and orange flowers, mother nature did not cooperate with the theme.

Felt pouches held the game prizes, Starbucks gift cards.
Easy to make pretty with ribbon and contrast stitching.

Tiny thank you bags held turquoise nail polish and chocolate.
Simple to make with scrapbook paper ties and mini clothes pins.

The much loved plates, purchased many years ago, hold many shower memories.
The Crate and Barrel luncheon plates were an ebay score, $40 for 20.

What's a party without hanging something colorful?
Good thing there are leggings under the photographer grandma's dress.

There were only a few minutes to take photos as the food was served.
Wanting to keep the lunch simple, we ordered the sandwiches from a local deli.

In keeping with the orange theme, sliced Cuties flavored the water.
Blue and orange cups held blue and orange sour balls.

The cupcake tree was perfect for holding cups of snack mix.
TJ Maxx paper cups. Costco brand snacks. Easy and cute.

This cous-cous salad is a treasured recipe from our son-in-law's mother.
We had an adorable cake on another table but forgot to take photos.

Our happy baby mama.
Very few of  the people photos turned out clear. Darn that photographer!

Sometimes it's hard to capture the feelings of an event in a post.
The shower was a great success for our mama to be, Tessy Grace!
